Overview
Warmup Mode in Outboundry defines how your email warmup process behaves based on your account’s current reputation, age, and deliverability status.
Different email accounts require different warmup strategies. Warmup Mode helps you automatically apply the right approach—whether you're starting fresh, fixing issues, or maintaining a healthy sender reputation.
By choosing the right mode, you ensure your email activity looks natural to mailbox providers like Gmail and Outlook, improving inbox placement and long-term deliverability.
What is Warmup Mode?
Warmup Mode controls how Outboundry:
Sends warmup emails daily
Increases or stabilizes sending volume
Simulates engagement (opens, replies, etc.)
Adjusts sending behavior to appear human-like
The goal is to build and maintain trust with email providers without triggering spam filters.
Email warmup itself works by gradually increasing sending activity while generating positive engagement signals, which helps establish sender credibility over time.
Warmup Modes in Outboundry
Outboundry offers three Warmup Modes, each designed for a specific use case:
1. Build Mode (For New Email Accounts)
Best for:
Newly created email accounts
Fresh domains
Accounts with no sending history
How it works:
Build Mode starts with a low number of warmup emails and gradually increases the volume over time. This creates a steady and predictable growth pattern.
Key characteristics:
Controlled daily volume increase
Gradual ramp-up to avoid spam flags
Natural engagement simulation (opens, replies)
Option to define a maximum sending limit
When to use it:
Use Build Mode when setting up a new inbox or domain from scratch.
2. Recover Mode (For Deliverability Issues)
Best for:
Emails landing in spam
Low open or reply rates
Previously inactive or damaged accounts
How it works:
Recover Mode focuses on rebuilding your sender reputation quickly using stronger engagement signals and more dynamic sending behavior.
Key characteristics:
Randomized daily sending volume (within a defined range)
Higher engagement activity (opens, replies, spam recovery)
Faster reputation repair compared to Build Mode
Less predictable, more human-like patterns
Why this matters:
Predictable sending patterns can trigger spam filters. Randomization helps your activity appear more organic and trustworthy.
3. Maintain Mode (For Healthy Accounts)
Best for:
Accounts with stable inbox placement
Ongoing campaigns with good performance
How it works:
Maintain Mode keeps your sender reputation stable by continuing consistent warmup activity without aggressively increasing volume.
Key characteristics:
Stable daily sending behavior
Balanced engagement signals
Prevents reputation decay over time
When to use it:
Switch to Maintain Mode once your inbox placement and engagement metrics are consistently strong.

Why Warmup Mode Matters

Looks natural and consistent
Builds positive engagement signals
Avoids spam triggers
Supports long-term inbox placement
